This week members of the project team for the Hemel Hempstead to Stonecross water main were busy updating the local residents of St Albans. The team from Affinity Water and J Browne Construction spent an enjoyable day at St Albans market informing residents of the next phases of work which will be commencing in January 2022.
The Hemel Hempstead to Stonecross project is a £5.8m investment which will allow efficient movement of water around the Affinity Water supply area. For the St Albans area this means keeping more water in the ground to help restore the local chalk stream, the River Ver.
“A key part of any project is the communication and engagement with local residents. We were very pleased that everybody who came to visit our stall left having gained some further understanding of the project and how the work impacts their daily lives.”
