Waltham Forest Council commends Browne on another successful collaboration!

We recently teamed up with Waltham Forest Council to carry out an emergency water mains replacement at Esther Road, as part of a flood mitigation scheme. Not only was the project completed successfully, but our collaborative efforts received high praise from council members and residents alike.

Alongside Thames Water, Browne replaced the old, outdated water mains, working to create a more sustainable water network for the future. We worked closely with the council to ensure the project was completed on time, organising necessary road closures and parking bays all while keeping the residents' needs in mind.

What made this project stand out was the incredible project coordination between Browne, Thames Water and Waltham Forest Council, making sure there was minimal disruption throughout the 6-week project.

Declan Lynch, Head of Highway and Network Management for Waltham Forest Council, was thrilled with the project's success, “A great example of collaboration. We’ve had really positive comments from our elected Members and residents about successfully working together. Hopefully we can use this momentum for future collaborative working.”

The water mains replacement project at Esther Road is a shining example of the positive impact that working together can have on a community, and we hope to undertake more projects like this in the future.
