With a broad range of skills in-house, we are able to deliver a variety of special projects for our clients. We draw on the relevant specialists from around the business, building teams that can deliver projects that are highly complex and often breaking new ground in the industry.
Our team, working with our design partner, designed and built a dewatering solution as part of the Crossrail project. As well as the logistical challenges of removing groundwater from the construction site and existing wells, the project also involved planning a complex route through a number of third party sites before the water could discharged 550m away. We completed the project within 8 weeks – a tight deadline dictated by the arrival of the Crossrail Tunnel Boring Machine.
We recently restored two Victorian footbridges crossing the New River in Hertfordshire on behalf of Thames Water. The work involved creating new handrails to match old, sandblasting metalwork back to cast iron and installing new structural crosspieces to replace old timber decking. Scaffolding and a crash deck was used as a platform for dismantling the structure and installing new components by hand.
We delivered a number of ‘super charger’ electrical docking stations throughout the South of England for the innovative US electric car manufacturer, Tesla. Working with programme manager Black and Veatch, we worked to tight pre-Christmas deadlines to deliver this key section of the company’s charging infrastructure.
