J Browne is delighted to announce an important contract award by Southern Water Services for its joint venture business Cappagh Browne Utilities.
We have secured the AMP6 React and Maintain Operational Partner contract for Southern Water’s sewerage network following a strenuous, year-long procurement process. We will be working with Southern Water to deliver a range of improvements for their customers under their Business Plan for 2015 to 2020.
The award strengthens the long term relationship between Cappagh and J Browne that has existed since 2008. The Cappagh Browne board is very excited by the opportunity to collaborate with Southern Water to deliver exceptional customer service, frontier safety performance and excellent value for money. Phil Barker, Southern Water’s Director of Operations, said: “We look forward to working with a new partner, Cappagh Browne Utilities. This is an exciting time for Southern Water and we believe that working with our new partners in a collaborative way will help us to deliver exceptional customer service.”
“By working in partnership we will deliver improvements for our customers by maintaining our 94 water supply works, 368 wastewater treatment works and extensive water and wastewater networks.” Cappagh Browne Utilities’ contract will be to provide sewerage network maintenance services across Southern Water’s entire region – Sussex, Kent, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. The new contract will begin in April 2015 and will run to the end of March 2020 with an option to extend for a further five years.
