AMP 6 Affinity Water – Water Saving Programme Support Contract Success

We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in winning Affinity Water’s Water Saving Programme Support Contract to help deliver their universal metering programme, alongside home water efficiency visits to reduce consumption.

This framework will help deliver one of Affinity Water’s key outcomes for AMP6 - ‘Making sure our customers have enough water whilst leaving more water in the environment; both for today and for the future’.  As a local contractor, we are proud to be working with Affinity Water to help deliver an essential part of their AMP6 business plan for the community.

The programme involves installing 75,000 meters in the remaining 3 years of the AMP6 programme and the agreement has a potential 3 year extension into AMP7. We will deliver our work with a strong emphasis on health, safety and well-being and customer service.

Health, safety and well-being is a key focus on this framework and we are working hard to drive the ‘zero harm’ message by improving the technology, equipment, training and processes we use to plan and undertake the works. The occupational health of our staff is very important to us and we will start the contract with health checks for all, and continue with regular ongoing support.

We have invested in our people by engaging with customer service experts, Blue Sky, to train our customer facing staff and have seen an excellent response from the team involved in the metering works done to date. We are working outside, and within customer properties, and often within their houses so ensuring we communicate well with and deliver a high quality ‘right first time service’ is essential.
