January 11, 2017
JBrowne continued its safety stand down programme with a number of ‘back to work’ sessions for our 250 operational staff delivered on 3rd January 2017. The objective of these sessions was to ensure that everybody is focussed on their own and their team’s safety after the busy festive period when they return to work. Engagement with the workforce is a big part of our Cultural Behavioural Safety programme to ensure the message on health safety and well-being is emphasised consistently and regularly.
The sessions were led by our new Head of Operations Barry Jones and supported by our senior management team. It covered areas including safe digging techniques, a review of learning from some of our recent incidents, tips on winter working and the launch of our new mobile policy which prohibits all mobile phone use including on hands free devices while using Company or personal vehicles on Company business.
