Jeremy is the Executive Chairman of J Browne and the company’s majority shareholder. He is ultimately in control of the company and takes a particular interest in its strategic direction. Health and safety leadership is a real passion for Jeremy and has instigated industry leading wellbeing support for his employees. He carries out regular site safety audits and personally delivers ‘safety stand downs’ to the entire workforce every quarter. Jeremy has worked as a Quantity Surveyor in building and civil engineering for a number of years in both Ireland and the UK. His qualifications include a BSc in Surveying and a Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology. He completed a part-time MBA in 2011 to help him build on his knowledge of management and strategy.
Jeremy is keenly aware that J Browne is a family business with a long trading history and a loyal and hardworking workforce that includes a high proportion of long service employees. He’s committed to maintaining that family firm culture and feel while also ensuring that J Browne moves with the times to deliver a modern, innovative and professional service to our clients.
Previously a Business Director within Utilities and Defence at Amey, Paul has extensive experience of collaborating with clients to improve performance. He has delivered outstanding results through partnering arrangements with major utility clients such as Severn Trent Water, Thames Water, Scottish Water, UKPN, Scottish Hydro Electric Transmission and Affinity Water. He also has a strong track record of helping his clients achieve exceptional customer performance in the water industry. Paul understands the challenges of working in London and the South East, having delivered a number of large capital and operational frameworks in the region in AMP 2, AMP 3 and AMP 4.
Paul’s qualifications include a civil engineering degree and an MBA, and he brings a detailed technical knowledge to the business in both the OPEX and CAPEX workstreams. He has a passion for developing people and building teams through training and mentoring, and a large part of Paul’s role is to drive health and safety excellence through management focus and visible leadership.
Before taking on his current role, Jonathan was Commercial Director for Cappagh Browne JV where he delivered around £120M of Thames Water’s clean water maintenance programme in AMP 5 (2010 – 2015). Before this, he had worked in senior commercial positions at the Volker Group and a number of other major contractors. Jonathan oversees all of the company’s commercial activities, from contract reviews at the tender stage through to delivery and hand-over, and works closely with our operational teams to deliver efficient and high quality projects. He understands the importance of collaborating with our clients to realise best value and to minimise inefficiency and waste, and he has a keen interest in improving business process. Jonathan contributes significantly to leading health and safety excellence within the company, and conducts regular audits as well as getting involved in company-wide safety stand downs. His qualifications include a BSc in Surveying.
Louisa is responsible for the company’s business management system and provides technical support to operations. She also acts as Temporary Works Co-ordinator and Lifting Co-ordinator, offering oversight for these areas of the business when needed, and delivers technical support on a number of key tenders and projects.
In her previous role, Louisa was responsible for overseeing the implementation of the processes, procedures and techniques to support the delivery of the programme of works for the Major Projects Group, which had a collective turnover in excess of £100m per annum. This culminated in being presented with a Star Award in Innovation and Technology for the development of a Site Management Toolbox which was issued to all Project and Site Managers across Power Major Projects.
Louisa is currently leading on upgrading our business management system.
Ceara is responsible for delivering industry leading customer service and identifying ongoing opportunities for J Browne to improve and maintain the position of customer focused utilities service providers. She will make customer service a core value for the company and drive a transformation in customer service, replicating the change in attitude to H&S over the last 15 years.
Before joining J Browne Ceara worked in the Water Utilities practice at Accenture. Whilst there Ceara was responsible for leading many customer service improvement programmes and implementing large scale change initiatives at major UK water clients.
