We have an exciting opportunity to bring a Planning Manager into an already fantastic team at J Browne Construction where you will continue to promote the J Browne brand.  This role is based at our client site in Slough delivering core planning activities for a Waste Water Civils contract for the London area.

What you should expect in your role?

The Planning Manager is responsible for a team of 6+ Planners and will ensure works are planned and delivered to programme, achieve contract SLA’s, and support and develop the team.  Duties also include monitoring performance to ensure delivery of department and personal objectives; build strong relationships with our client, highways authority and TFL; resolve escalated planning complaints or issues; ensure the co-ordination of works between permits, enabling and traffic management is undertaken; monitor backlogs/WIP to ensure contractual priorities are met.

To provide  great service in this role you will need: 

  • Previous management/supervisor experience with a planning/utility background
  • Knowledge of Insight / ETON
  • Knowledge of Streetworks (NRSWA)
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Ability to build relationships across all levels of the business and with the client and key stakeholders
  • Good planning, organisational, influencing and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook
