J Browne were awarded a non-infrastructure contract to upgrade the existing waste water treatments works at Grendon Underwood in Buckinghamshire.
Working for the principal contractor Black and Veatch, the £420k contract consisted of the construction of 2 no. peculating filters approximately 14m in diameter, the construction of a new humus tank (6m x 6m x 5m) deep and carrying out modifications to 2 no. existing tanks. Other works included the installation of 120m of ducting for the new lighting columns and power supply to the peculating filters, inlet works and the new humus tank and construction of a 180m of 900mm wide insitu concrete path.
J Browne carried out all associated civil engineering works for the project including all necessary pipework and chambers and Inlet works in relation to these works.
New access road and footpaths and completed along with associated landscaping works. The project was completed in October 2013.
